Its been a while since I've checked in-I've missed you! So much has been happening in the studio, and I'm excited to fill you in! In addition to some really fun (and challenging) commissions, my daily #100daysofinkandindigo project, and a busy, kiddo-filled summer at the Mann home, I have been steadily working to launch my shop. It is LIVE as of last week and chock full of my original indigo on paper pieces large and small, as well as fine art print line available in a range of sizes to work for all kinds of locations and budgets.
As you know if you've been palling around with me for a while, my studio work has been almost entirely focused on very custom commission work. I have created paintings, sculptures, works on paper, and design concepts that are featured in hotels, residences, and hospitality projects all over the world. I have enjoyed sharing the process and projects through this site and my Instagram account but when people would ask how they could purchase my work I would pretty much say, "You can't." I'm a marketing genius, I KNOW! With the launch of my Ink and Indigo Shop I finally have a whole line of work available to my individual collectors. I am so honored when my work speaks to someone in such a personal way that they bring it into their own home. I can't wait to see my work on your walls!
I have quite a few of my smaller, dimensional clay and mixed media pieces that I will be adding as soon as they are properly framed up. They are based on large scale works that I have created for the Ritz Carlton, Biltmore, and other luxury properties. These are really close to my heart, and some of my favorite types of works to create. I love the laborious, repetitive process of making the individual elements and the satisfaction of coming up with that perfect flow and rhythm when assembling them into a single piece. It has taken a bit to figure out how to best translate that work to something that I can offer to individual collectors but I'm so happy with how they are turning out and will let you guys know when they are going to be available.
There will be more studio updates here soon, and I plan to get back to sharing artist features, creative resources, and glimpses into what's inspiring me. I'm also saving some special goodies for my newsletter subscribers, so I hope you'll sign up here! In the meantime pop over to the shop and have a look! I would love to hear what you think!
